About us

Concorso Lirico Internazionale Magda Olivero

The Association, established in 2000, was founded by the tenor Vincenzo Puma, flanked during his training phase by the Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Katia Lolova, with the aim of spreading interest and love for music especially among the young audience. classical and traditions for our country.

The main purpose is to identify the young promises of opera, dedicating himself to providing them with a valid artistic training and professional growth.

Lirica Domani pursues its objectives through the programming and promotion of shows and concerts, but mainly with the foundation in 2007 of the “Magda Olivero” International Opera Competition aimed at young opera singers of all nationalities.

The events organized by our association have allowed many young people to perform, confront the public and grow rationally on the stage. Our collaboration with other associations and above all with the institutions present on our national territory ensure that events of great importance can be held. An important and consolidated collaboration is the one with the Officers’ Club of the Italian Army – Palazzo Cusani, Milan. Many of our concerts and shows have been staged in this wonderful setting.
Among the other important collaborations we find that with: the “Friends of Music” of Cernobbio (Co) and Lodi, regional and provincial institutions, especially from Lombardy and Sicily. Particularly during the summer, Lirica Domani works closely with these regions to revive the opera of the past with shows in squares and auditoriums.

An exciting tour in Japan with La Bohème was possible in 2005 thanks to the artistic union between our association and the others present on the Japanese territory.
